Question SERVICE question

I currently have 35000 miles and I have never gotten the recommended services per 5000 miles or so. Basically all I do are oil changes. I don't feel like paying $400, $500 for something I feel my car doesn't need. My car drives like new and have no problems. Do you guys think it's ok to skip these recommended services? It's a Lexus - does it really need all this crap - I think it's a rip and not worth it!

Change your transmission fuild. You don't want your transmission to go out, and it could if you don't change it. Other than that , you are fine as long as you keep your fluids up.

Default Service?

My 92 LS400 is still running perfectly at 80K miles and has NEVER been back to Lexus for ANYTHING since about 5k miles. Oil and filters on a regular basis and that's been it.

I drove two Ford stations wagon each for over 250K miles and NEVER serviced the transmissions on either.

If your trans fluid smells burnt then you probably need to service the entire trans, otherwise I would never touch that fluid.
