Default rotors inspection

I'm doing LS400 BBK upgrade on my SC. I brought some used rotors from an auto recycler. The rotor are pretty much rusted because it been sitting outside where it exposed to rain and stuff... I think that a normal thing because my rotors on my SC rust at times when I park my car for a while and with the rain and stuff. The rust comes off when I drive it.. Anyways, how can i visually inspect the LS400 rotors are good or not?

surface rust is ok, but if the rust doesn't come off with steel wool, then it is too deep... one other thing you will want to check for is that the rotors are thicker than their minimum... if there is a decent amount of rust and you don't feel comfortable with it, take it to a machine shop or brake place and have them turn the rotors. They will measure thickness prior and ensure they are ok prior, and they will measure thickness afterwards, and if you request, they will let you know current thicknesses...
