I just recently purchased an SC400. It has the traction control mode and my question is during routine driving conditions does one leave the traction control on or off (dry weather)? When off, of course it indicates on the dash. I am assuming it is best off until needed? Also, with the overdrive mode on does one get better gas mileage? Any input on all of the various drive train modes on a fully loaded SC400 would be appreciated....
traction control is best left on... the only time you really need to turn it off would be when it is icy out or when you want to do some seriously spirited driving...
the 92 SC's have 4 speed automatic transmissions... 1,2,3 are city gears, 4 (or overdrive) is for highway cruising... it will definitely increase fuel mileage on the highway, and will also on longer, medium speed roads in town as well...
basically, leave overdrive and traction control on 98% of the time...
