Recently, in humid weather this summer, my power door locks have been working sporadically. When I attempt to lock all 4 doors from inside the car using the passenger side master door lock button, the passenger front door will not lock and the rear driver's side door does not lock. Also, when I try to lock or unlock all 4 doors from the outside with my Power Key Fob or with the key inserted in the driver's side front door, the same thing happens and it will not lock or unlock the passenger side front door and drivers side rear door, (sometimes the key fob will not even lock the drivers side front door).

It seems like the locks are trying to lock/unlock and may go to a half-way position, but still not lock/unlock the door. AND, when the humidity dissapears and the outside temperature gets to about 70 degrees or lower, all 4 of them seem to work fine. (Rainy weather brings the problem back sometimes). Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it seems like I have a potergeist in the door locks. Is this the power door lock actuator, motor or something else (and if so, can I repair this myself with any DIY info?). Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.

 

im having same issue but with front passenger door only and mine is gs300 mk2

 

Possible your door lock actuator. On the 1LS if the lock actuator stuck you can not open the door from inside or outside.

 

Have a problem with my 94 ls400. Doors lock and unlock from power lock buttons inside just fine. Doors lock with remote just fine, although they do it twice. but won't unlock with remote. Replaced door controller receiver, no change. Any ideas?

 

On my 94 LS400, driver's door lock button (the one that's half orange) "twitches" but does not change state (lock to unlock -or- vv) on any stimulus (lock/unlock switches, right door key turn) except key turn outside (which mechanically gets the job done, right). A new actuator should fix it, right? Is there a good DIY tutorial around for this job? Thanks!
