I should get my car back soon, supposedly, but that a whole different thread. Anyway, what do they do exactly, is it worth it, my car I recall is around 31,000 miles, should I wait?

Lexustech,

The mechanic at an independent shop told me i didn't need to change my 94 sc400 trans fluid for 30k service. Is it correct? Now at 50k, i checked my trans fluid (with the dip stick under the hood) and it's level was way above the level.
Thx

How did you check the trans fluid level? Engine hot? Run it through the gears before checking dip stick? On level ground? If not, try it again and see where the level is.

As i remember, i checked it at one time when it was hot and the other time, cold. The car was parked on level ground.

thx, RealMarty. I'll do that. Is it true that we don't have to change/flush trans fluid for sc400?
