Magnetic Drain plug (oil)
What do you guys think? worth the $20? or just another snake oil trick.

nay. Unless you're constantly clogging up your oil pickup, but then again you already have bigger problems if that is happening.

It won't hurt, but it won't do anything either, so it's your money down the drain even if it's just $10.
Is your engine really putting ferrous metal particles into your oil? as stated above, then you got bigger problems to think about.
Your filter should pick up anything that isn't suspended that would drained out in the oil change anyway.

the main purpose of a mag drain plug is to tell you if you about the wear amount inside your engine. its not really there to filter metal out of the motor. just as the same purpose as the aircraft that i work on at the military.
