Hi Everyone
My 2006 GS300 is shooting out stinky smell. I have recently changed the Cabin Filter and now it does not smell as bad. I would like to know what I can do. I search this topic and someone recommended High Heat w/AC on running for 20 minutes. Have you guys had any success? Should I also try the Lysol in conjunction with the high heat AC method? Please help! Thanks!
What I usually do is take a leaf blower with the hood open, and put the leaf blower onto one vent that's left opened, and it kind of helps push out anything that's still in there. Let it be dead leaves, bugs, etc.

You may want to take it back to your dealer because this may be issue with your cars AC system and not just smell..I was told by my Lexus mechanic that he has replaced several AC systems in the 06 models because of defective AC units..Your car is still under warranty and you shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket..
correct, depending on the smell, there are certain aspects of an a/c system going bad that can cause some bad odors as well...
especially with such a new car, I would lean towards a malfunction vs mildew as well, however its hard to say... one thing you can easily check is to simply drive the car on a hot day with the a/c on... is there a puddle of water on the pavement afterwards? the most common cause of mildewy a/c systems is the evaporator box not draining...
Just something else to consider: I once ran into a situation where two different types/brands of windshield washer fluid were mixed in the tank creating a bad odor. When the washer was used the fluid ran down and dried near the ventilation intakes of the vehicle. Then the odor would get sucked into the cabin. We pumped all the fluid out of the tank and filled it with some pine odor washer fluid. It took a few days of using the windshield washer but the odor went away. I think this was on a Accord or Camry. It was a while ago so I have forgotten the exact model.
