Exclamation E-Brake light stays on SC400

my 93 sc400's ebrake light on the cluster will not turn off. the brakes not on, and sometimes it will turn off if i pull the brake all the way up and then back down, only for a second though. im selling the car and would like to get this fixed very soon. any ideas?

Pull out the brake light bulb! jk
This happens on my es sometimes too, but it goes away after a while

Check your brake fluid first.

low brake fluid level will cause the brake warning light to come on... if it's low, check for leaks, and check for pad depth... if there's pads left, and no fluid leaks, then top up the system...

ok, topped off fluid...no more noise..

however, my car is making this wierd noise when im accelerating and cruising. it stops when i brake.

any ideas on this?

You're going to have to be a lot more descriptive than just saying it's "wierd."

ooohhh, im sorry. its whiny, kind of a really fast spinny or sucking noise? its loud...its finally starting to happen a little when i brake too

by that description it could be a lot of things, but most of them aren't really brake related. timing belt, accessory belt, alternator, PS pump, water pump, it could be any one of these things.

or maybe a vacuum line for the brake booster?
