Default Leaky Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Recently I have smelled gas inside the car and diagnosed the problem as a fuel leak. I can notice a drip off of the fuel pressure regulator, I am wondering if the FPR is bad or are there gaskets inside it that can be changed? Has anyone else had this problem. The car is a 97 es300.

If you're sure it's the FPR, replace the entire assembly. Also check the hoses and clamps as your vehicle is ten years old!

There are washers at the couplings to and from the FPR and they can deteriorate over time.
