For the few repairs I do not tackle myself I let the Toyota shop do it while I drive their loaner car and my wallet is fuller as a result.
One caveat....when you know the Toyota part is the same, make sure you tell them to use the Toyota part. My Toyota shop went to Lexus for the same power steering pump. When I got the bill I produced internet copies showing the list price of the Lexus part and the Toyota part (Thinking ahead).
They replied there Lexus customers want Lexus parts...I replied "if they are that stupid they deserve to pay the higher price...I come to you for Toyota parts. If I wanted Lexus parts I'd go there". Price was cut $100 to cover the difference on the identical part!
