Default timing belt change

hey everyone I got a quote from a local Lexus dealer in Atlanta to have my timing belt changed and they gave me a quote of $1100 dollars, this seems high to me and I was wondering if anyone has had this done at a good quality shop for less and which shop it is. the car is a 1999 GS 400 with 65000 miles. thanks

I would call your local Toyota dealership and get a quote from them. Should be a little lower. Also, ask them if you can supply the parts to bring the price down. Hit up Darrell or Luiz for parts with your CL discount.

Also, see if there are any independent Lexus certified mechanics around. My mechanics who sponsor my car are both Master Lexus certified mechanics and do my work for a fraction of what Lexus charges. Granted they give me a big discount, but prior to sponsoring the car they still had prices that were a lot better than the stealer.
