Lowered IS300 help
Guys,
I lowered my IS300 with Intrax springs, mounted new tires and had an alignment done on it.'
My wife was following home and she claims that my rear tires look like they are on an angle.
When I parked home I checked it out and they do look like they have positive camber........
I took it back to the shop that performed the alignment and he said they had no problem with my car and everything should be ok. I am not satisfied with how the car looks because the front tires look straight and the rears dont. My question is, has anyone experienced this when lowering your IS and are camber kits available for the IS??? WHat do you guys recommend do?

Negative camber is a characteristic of lowering the IS' double wishbone suspension. Unfortunately there are no camber ktis out there to correct this. All the GS and IS guys on lowered suspensions experience this either on coilovers or springs. It's the geometry of the suspension that causes this. The lower you go, the more negative camber you have. Even more so with a load in the back.
What you are seeing is negative camber. Here's a little diagram explaning this on Discount Tire's website.

my advice,,,, every so often check out the inner of the tires,,,, when they start wearing out too much,,,,, flip the tires,,,,, this way you can get many many more miles out of your tires.....
