Default Buying from one dealer service at another?

Buying from one dealer service at another? Do they treat you different? Do you still get a loaner? etc etc I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong forum. Thanks

My opinion is that it probably depends on the individual dealer, although I think loaner cars are fairly universal at Lexus dealers. The dealers are individually owned and operated and have quite a bit of leeway in their operations.

I'd think whether you bought there would tend to influence the border-line cases, when they might go beyond the terms of the warranty if you bought there.

I use the dealer I bought from in the summer months up in Virginia, and another dealer in the winter when I'm down in Florida.

Honestly, I believe that a dealer will treat you just as good when you purchased the car somewhere else and bring it in for service. The service department is the bread and butter of the dealership, particularly with respect to warranty work. My last two cars have been purchased from private parties, but I bought my 99 ES 300 new, and whenever I went to a dealer other than the dealer I purchased it from, they would always treat me like royalty. They would also change the license plate frames to put on ones from their dealership (which was kind of annoying). The point here is that the although the selling dealer might make $1-$2k on the sale of a new car, over the life of the car, the service department probably generates much more revenue for the dealership in doing maintenance and warranty work for you.

All lexus should serve you the same way no matter where you buy the car from. They just see you as a lexus owner.
