Car is a 96ES.

Front passenger window motor is weak. Nearly stops half way up, and not nearly as fast as the other windows. Is this a motor, or something mechanical binding? Window is a little sloppy in track, but so is driver side. I had to replace window switch last year, but this window was weaker than the others before that.

Anyone ever fix a similar problem? How much?

What is a window regulator? I never heard of it.

Is it electronic, or something mechanical. About how much to fix?

aka window motor. thats what they are called at lexus

window all the way up
tape window to upper part of door
remove door pannel
remove 2 10mm bolts from window track
unplug connector to window regulator
remove plastic
there will be 10mm bolts that hold the regulator i want to say arround 6.
pull out
and fallow steps backwards

provided u got a new regulator

 

Is it hard to get door panel off? Sounds like I can handle the window motor swap.
Know of any instructions how to remove door panel on CL?

Is motor Lexus specific, or same as Camry?
No Lexus dealers in my area; anyone else sell the regulator?

its not hard

10 screws at most. need to take out the master switch there is a screw there. 1 in the vent tube 1 near left middle look a lil bit low and 4 more (maybe) on the bottom
