Are these easy enough for a DIY ?
Spend $1200 on stuff I didn't think I needed to replace.
Now they are recommending that I have additional work done.
Valve Cover Gasket - Leaking - $520
Front Lower Control Arm Bushings Cracked - $995
Are these items that I can do with limited mechanical skills or should I just find a good Indy?
This is for a 98 ES300.
Thanks in Advance.

Suggest you check the condiction of the PCV valve plugged into a rubber grommet located at the passenger side, rear valve cover; that is closest to the firewall.. a failing or clogged valve would allow pressure to build up and blow oil out the valve cover seal or gasket.. If in doubt, the PCV valve replacement is reasonable. Get one at a Toyota dealer. The oil leak might stop, if your lucky and it hasn't been leaking long.
Locate in your area through yellow pages, the internet and word of mouth a good Toyota Repair facility...
Toyota dealer could provide a quality repair at a better price, ordering Lexus parts if different than the Camry.
