1990 LS400. My oil warning comes for no reason. If I change lanes, the sensor goes off and does not come one. I am thinking that the sensor is bad. I have had a recent oil change adn the level is fine.

Anyone heard of this?

I have a 91 and had a similar problem, sometimes at highway speed the
light would come on. would go away if I slowed down.
It was the low level indicator . the level was slightly low.
Check it out.

Default Motor Oil Warning light

Got it taken care of. The level was a bit low, and I should know from my prevoous Mercedes, that V8 and A/C equal oil consumption. I have it squared away. I am a littled suprised that 4oz of oil can cause a warning light to come on. Better safe than sorry!
