Default Repair quotes

Well I just received the following quotes for repairs on a 94 ES300 (about 140k miles). Any comments? Do the prices seem reasonable? Quotation follows:

The valve cover gaskets are 650.00 for both of them
Cam seals are 495.00 for both
Rear main seal is 989.00 those are the primary leaks
The power steering pump is 898.00
Oil pan and trans pan are 219.00 a piece
The rear brakes are 289.00

Are those prices from a Lexus dealership? If so, they sound reasonable from that dealership perspective.

You also have the option to save a LOT of money by having your ES serviced at a Toyota dealership. Toyota and Lexus interchangeably use most of the engine parts and fluids in all of their vehicles. Labor rate may be about the same, but the parts will most certainly be less expensive than from Lexus. Get quotes from Toyota, then compare.

That is such a good idea I wish I'd thought of it. (Yes, those quotes were from a Lexus service facility.) I think I'm going to pay a visit to a local Toyota service dept. tomorrow.

After that, I'll have to append a new msg. to this thread re: how that went and how the quotes compare. I mean, really, it would be nice to be able to drive a nice car without having to have a six figure income to be able to afford maintenance and repairs.

Thanks.
