I know you can get your Lexus serviced at the Toyota dealer, but can you get your Toyota serviced at the Lexus dealer? Just curious.

I don't think they would. Some parts for Toyota engines, Lexus will not deal with because they may not be found in any Lexus vehicle. Not to mention that one would pay more than double in labor and parts

Wow is it really 2x expensive to service the Lexus?

I was thinking more, could you service a Land Cruiser at the Lexus dealer. The Land Cruiser and Lexus are so similar that I would think you could. If you are paying for the Land Cruiser you might not want to have to deal with Toyota service.

No it's not twice the cost but in most cases 3 to 4 times more. Just one example: toyota oil change $21.95; lexus oil change $120.00.

Same here...$64 for a full oil change at Lexus, $34 at Toyota, but they won't service my car anyway.

I think what they are doing is charging us for the stupid rental but when you read the receipt it says that labor cost is $90.00 per hour.

its $39.99 here, plus a 40-point inspection, and a great carwash and interior vac. But I usually bring my own Mobil 1, so it comes out to $28 bucs.

By the way, this is at the FIRST Lexus dealership in the United states, Lexus of Tampa bay baby

Will Lexus void your warranty for give you other gried if you don't do your oil changes and other scheduled maintence at the Lexus dealer?

That's why I go to the toyota dealership. I only go to the Lexus dealership for the milestone maintenace. I just did the 90,000 miles service on my LX470 for $1,500.00 but I did some of the work myself. If they had done it all it would have cost $1,900.00.
