Maintance logs and record keeping
I知 looking for something that is FREE and comprehensive to keep track of car maintance.
What I知 doing currently is just keeping all the receipts for service performed on my two cars in a file cabinet in some flip folders.
Needless to say it痴 not very pretty or organized.
I keep track of when transmission was serviced, differential fluid changed, Alignments, radiator flushes, the usual on everything and anything that we do to our cars be it done by ourselves or at the mechanics / dealerships.
I知 looking for something that would keep this info electronically be it local on my pc or on the web.
What I have founds so far is not Free or is not good enough.
http://www.lonewolf-software.com/automotivewolf.htm
$44
http://www.ecarlog.com/
$10 to $20 a year.
The free account version is almost useless.
I know this would be simple to setup in Excel or some other scheduling software like Outlook.
That would require work on my part however.
What do you guys use or recommend?

I stick with Excel. Color-coding sections makes these maintenance logs much more attractive and easy to read. I also insert columns like mileages when service work was done, what mileage intervals a service work requires, the place I got my parts, etc. Excel definitely works for me
