Just picked up my IS350 last week and I have a couple of questions.
1. I'd like to obtain a factory service manual. Searching the archives, I see recommendations for http://www.lexusparts.com/, but they don't list one. Any suggestions?
2. On my previous car, an Audi S4, I purchased software and an adapter to connect the car to my laptop (VAG-COM). This reasonably priced solution allowed me to do far more than a generic OBD-II scan tool, e.g., setting vehicle preferences similar to those on the Lexus LPS sheet. Is there a similar product for my IS?

my dealership doesnt have the mauals yet. i dont think they are going to be released but i could be wrong. for what reason do u need it. u have warr on the car till 4/50
They (Lexus) will always release service manuals, and I am almost certain that they are available slightly before the cars go on sale. The Lexus dealer will be the surest place to get one. If they tell you otherwise, keep trying other dealers, and if they want to be nosey and ask why you need one, tell them you're an independent shop or you're "trying to diagnose a car."

Someone from another forum pointed me to http://techinfo.lexus.com/ where you can buy online access to the manuals (PDF format) for $10/day.
The warranty is fine if something breaks, but I'd rather do my own maintenance. (and that ISN'T free)
