Default IS350 Factory Service Manual

Does any have any leads on the Lexus factory service manual in PDF form? My 2006 IS 350 is acting up and my very mechanically inclined uncle is going to do some work for me. We wanted to get the service manual if possible. Can anyone help?

Try the search function. Search the 2IS thread for "service manual", you'll find there isn't a PDF version, if you want it you can either drop hundreds of dollars on a print version or subscribe to TIS.

The proper place to get online factory service information is to subscribe to TIS (Technical Information System) at http://techinfo.lexus.com. You can buy a two-day subscription for $15. The nice thing about getting this information online is that it is always up-to-date.

obligatory moderator P.S. :
The manual and service information are copyrighted, so if you see a collection of PDFs for sale or download somewhere on the Internet, they are likely to be pirated. (and as you should know, discussion of where to obtain pirated material is a violation of the rules you agreed to when you joined this site)

You got a set of those 5 dealership service repair manuals? Only auction showed a price of $600! OUCH. Did you pay anything close to that?

Got mine from ebay too.....paid nowhere near that. It was the set of 5, and I think I only paid like $100 or something.

Also, Toyota/Lexus separates wiring from mechanical, so there's another book for wiring diagrams if you're interested in that.

Others may argue, but personally i like having quick access to the book vs having to break out the computer and signing on to the interweb.

Oh no, I agree about having the books...but only if you can get the books for less than a house pymt! LOL

Any thought to transferring the manuals to digital and selling the manuals on disc for profit?

My first thought would be that it's a felony

LOL +1 on that.

You can't rip off people's work and then sell it on disc

Was always curious how those guys on ebay got away with selling those service manual discs. I guess that wouldn't be a good idea then. LOL!

When I look on ebay, people sell them in packages of 6. Are there 6 specific manuals, or do you just need one of the 6 and thats just the way that they're sold?

TIS 2 day subscription gives you 48 hrs to down load as much as you can. Good luck.
