I just had my battery warrantied out and the shop checked out my alternator and it works fine. I run 2 amps and the lights do not dim, so I'm sure the alternator is charging fine.

But for some reason my check oil pressure, coolant, emergency brake, brake light, and battery came up while I was driving...

It goes away here and there, but its on everytime i start my car. I'm normally pretty good about diagnosing my own car problems, but I cant figure this one out.. any ideas other than saying bad alternator?

 

Persian knows his way around an LS & does not cry "wolf "so I find this situation rather interesting. My guess is that this is instrumention in the form of worn out wiring & not actual engine symptoms but I'm all ears to the Lexus Techs on this one.

Unfortunately, my car died last night and it does appear its the alternator now.. Looks like my car fooled me.. I guess the alternator was gradually dying, but it had enough life to have those warning lights on from a drive from San Jose to San Diego with no problems.. I guess i got lucky

 

How many miles does that alternator have?

 

this was replaced 2 years ago.. probably 20k on it.. i'll put a shield on it this time, because the PS pump probably leaked all over it
