Default Shift Solenoid E

I have a 1996 ES300, and the check engine light came on, the code says P0770. I just need to know how much do these solenoid cost and which one could have gone bad? How hard is to DIY? Can anyone provide me with a diagram, let me know please thanx

One more thing, The car shifts fine and runs smoothly. Any help would be appreciated

Moving this to Maintenance.

I had the exact error code several months ago with my '01 ES. However, my transmission did not shift smoothly or consistently at all, making the car unsafe to drive even on the highway. Had to get the tranny replaced by the dealership, with me paying a fraction of the cost (extended warranty took care of the rest).

I believe shift solenoid E is the easiest one to replace( if my memory serve me well). You just have to drop the trans pan and the solenoid should be right there( without dropping the valve body. I will find out more info and I will let you know within a few days.
