A phone call made by me at 8:25am:

Midas Tech: Midas of Dartmouth.
Me: Hi, could you take me for an oil change if I got the car down in a few minutes?
Tech: I dont see why not.
Me: Alright, and it's ok if I supply my own oil and filter? I have done it before.
Tech: No.
Me: Then you cannot make a sale. And you never will with me again.


Well, I'm faced with either the overwhelming BS of not being able to go to a midas and having a 80815-20004 filter with mobil-1 put in, they sell a generic synthitic but it costs like $55 to do it, or the overwhelming inconvenience of my favorite independent shop back home being open only on weekdays (when im at school) and only two saturdays a month (when theyre usually booked right up) making getting an oil change as painful as a root canal. God I hate this situation. God I have absolutely hated servicing my car for the past 4 years while at school.

 

Dosen't suprise me that Midas said that to you......their not happy making money on the labour charges....they want to rip you off with the supplies as well.....typical.
