Default Tranny Fluid Too Much?

I just bought a Lexus ES 300 i checked the tranny fluid this morn before i drove the car and the level was above the hot mark, and it had tranny fluid all on the stick up until the hot mark while the car was cold, could there be too much in the Tranny?

Cool

You can't get a accurate reading if you check the tranny fluid when it's cold! You have to drive the car till it reaches operating temperature, put the car in park (with the engine running) & check the level......it should tell you the proper procedure in your owners manual.
