how much is TOO much tranny fluid?
hello all. quick question.
i have a 93 LS and about a thousand miles ago i had a tranny fluid flush. recently i checked the level when it was cold, and it was about a half inch beyond the FULL mark for the HOT level indicator. (or vice versa). basically, i know it's filled past the full mark but i'm wondering what kinda damage it could do or that it might have done already. i don't notice any issues while driving, nor do i notice any tranny fluid puddles. is this a minor issue? should i take it back and ask them to adjust the level? is this easy enough to take care of myself? OR, should i leave well enough alone?
thanks,
d

The proper way to check tranny fluid is to drive the car around until it's warm up, then park it on level ground and check the fluid while the engine is still running.
