Default RX300 drivers door lock

I just purchased a 2000 RX300 and find the drivers door lock does not respond to locking with the remote. Also it does not work with the lock switch on the door. All other doors work normally. The only way to lock/unlock the drivers door is with the key in the lock or moving the lock button by the inside door handle. Any idea what's wrong? If it's the solenoid in the door, is this something I can get at to check myself. I'm leary of taking the door panel off with air bag sensors and other "nasty things". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You may have a bad door lock actuator. It come as a complete assembly including lock/unlock motor, cables and solenoid.

But try this trick first. Remove the master switch by pry it out from the front side of the switch( it really tight fit) and then disconnect the master switch and then plug it back it. Sometimes this trick work and reset the Body ECU or Door ECU.

Thanks for the info. I did take the door apart and check the connections and no change. The actuator seems to make noise and barely move anything, so I'm assuming it's shot. What is resetting the body ECU and the door ECU. Is this something additional I can try? How and where do I do this? Thanks.
