Default Do I need a new camber bolt?

I had a third-party shop mount my new tires and while at it they happened to notice that my camber bolt needed to be replaced.

I just need to know if this is BS (like a few other things they mentioned to me that I knew were OK) or legit - do these things wear out?

And if it does need to be replaced, is it under warranty?

On the RX300, you can't adjust the camber. Sometimes you can loose the bolts that mount the strut to the knuckle and get some -/+ camber out of it. But I never see any camber bolts on the RX.

thanks.

I guess the tire place people were trying to fool me.

I made an appointment with my dealer to check whatever has worn out down there (according to the tire guys). Should I go or cancel the appointment?

You may let them show you what are they talking about. Do you have any tire wear problem or car pulls? and Why do you need the camber bolt?

I was hoping I woudn't have to see them again.

They actually did a 4-wheel alignment. Is there a chance that they screwed something up?

It is no BS. I had a busted camber bold on my front right side. Car was still driveable, but they could not fully align the car. Lexus fixed it under warranty at 47K.

so, I think I understand the situation... RX300 has a camber bolt, but camber is not adjustable. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Oh, I believe the camber is adjustable. However, as I recall the guys could not get it in line with the computer specs. They aligned it is as best as they could, but could not turn it anymore.
