Default Replacing shocks on a SC400

I need to replace the shocks on my 95 SC400. Anyone have diagram or instructions on what needs to be done in what order?

Thanks

rears are easier than fronts...but for the rears you have to go through the trunk...let me see if i can find a diagram...

Doing all 4 struts/shocks in an SC is a difficult job. You may find alot of suspension components, especially the control arms nuts and bolts have frozen due to age. Also, make entirely sure when putting it back together and releasing the spring compressor that the spring is seated properly. Two mistakes I made when doing all 4:

1.) bent the brake dust shield forward so it scraped the rotor (minor)
2.) Caused some play with the sway bar link... needed replacement afterwards for 50+labor
3.) Did not seat the spring properly... clunking sound for several weeks upon accel/decell. Needed $90 in labor to have them take the assembly apart and put it back together correctly.

I still saved roughly $200 of the orginal $400 the place was charging to do them.

For slightly improved handling but keeping the excellent stock ride I recommend Tokico Blues.
