Angry SAME PROBLEM WITH A 1993 SC 400!!!

I recently bought a used 1993 sc 400 with 59,00 miles!!! great service history but recently took it two a mechanic and local dealer that both said the engine needed to be replaced!!!
\dark blue smelly some from the exhaust whenever you pressed the gas and a faint "knocking" noise from the engine compartment....after many posts(see my threads with over 30 replies/comments under technical/transmissions/engines!!! conclusion was that the previous owner did not drive it enough(a theory) and the sitting oil broke down and did not provide enough protection to vital engine parts...hence the need for a new engine!!1 called lexus to see if they would cover it under a warranty and they do not seem to want to deal with it(to my surprise) I am not a mechanic but can a strong v8 really go this bad from lack of usage?/ especially with an extensive service history up through march 2004???

Please help if you can explain in more detail what might have happened!!!
I am putting in a rebuilt engine from ATK transmissions that gives a 3 year unlimited mile warraty for their rebuilts($3500 plus CA tax)

plus about 2000-2500 for labor (dealership cost)!!!

Based on Consumer Reports survey, less than 2% of the RX owners reported engine problem for all model years. I change my oil every 5,000 miles, so I'm hoping to stay with the 98% camp.
i think 5k miles is too far between. I do it every 2800 miles and it still comes out dark time to time. and I am hoping to stay in the 98% camp as well.
I didn't have the extended warranty. My warranty is over. I have yet to receive a letter from lexus regarding this and both of my vehicles are registered on the www.lexus.com website. On the consumer reports website they are still indicating that lexus will either repair or replace the engine.
