Has anyone performed a spark plug change on their LS500? How'd it go?

 

I let my dealer do it at 40,000 miles. Owner’s manual says plugs must be changed at 40,000 miles to maintain emissions system warranty. I don’t understand why so soon, but I I did what Lexus recommends.
Car was running fine before and after spark plug change .

 

Hi, I have a 18 LS and I also recently had mine changed. I was surprised by how early it had to be done, but like the previous owner said. It runs the same before and after the change

 

Pulled the BS covers for the first time and laid eyes on it. Everything is on top of the engine. Some minor wiring needs to be unlashed but an easy job. I'll take pics and post a how to when I do them.

 

If you made a video you would probably be the 1st!
But come to think of it, have never seen pics either anywhere on the net so that would be great!

 

what did you guy pay for this service? I'm due and just curious if my dealer will be giving me a fair or ripoff price?

Pretty ridiculous, I felt like a total fool!
Gotta help pay for the beautiful building, etc.
I will refrain from making an off-color comment about the shop supplies.

 

YouTube video posted that shows where the spark plugs are and what needs to be moved to get to them for those that want to try to do it yourself.
Doesn't look too complicated once you see where they are.

Gotta love those shop supplies. A little GoJo and 2 shop rags for $59.78. Oh, I forgot the lube.

 

My price was similar. About 450.00.
My son offered to do it. He lives 1400 miles away. What a guy!!!
