Radiator Problem
I've been leaking coolant for the past few days now and have notice spray marks coming from the radiator. When it gets hot, theres a TINY hole on the top plastic part of the radiator that is just down far enough to be hidden by the fan housing. So when the bubbling starts to happen, the fan shoots the fluid everywhere. I took it into the local Toyota dealership and they told me that because of that tiny little hole in the top plastic part, that I'm gonna need a new radiator. I wanna know if this is true. It's not actually in anything metalic that has a hole. It's just the top plastic part where some of the tubes feed into the radiator. Could this be replaced? I was looking online and found that SC radiators can go for as low as $150 bucks whereas the dealership was gonna charge me $480. The only problem w/ the $150 radaitor was that it says it comes "without a filler neck." What exactly is a filler neck? Could it be transplanted from my old radiator to this new one?
Thanks,
Dix

My opinion, buy the toyota top tank and have it installed at any rad shop. Top tank ~130 bucks....common problem and if you dont care to keep the toyota rad then go the aftermarket for 150.
