Digital Key?
Is the Digital Key option available for anyone in their Lexus app for LX600? I have the app in its working well and connected to my LX with all the options available. It does not have the Digital Key option which seems to be available for other cars (or locations?)
Does this have to be turned on by my dealer possibly?

You can't add Digital Key after the fact. It has to come with that from the factory. And it's only available on the new NX, RX and RZ.
Having said that, you don't want it anyways. Even if your car came with it. IF you can actually get it setup, which is a big IF, it's not very reliable. Also, what happens if your phone dies, gets broken or you lose it? I wouldn't want to be hours away from home and the Lexus App or Digital Key decides not to work.

the so called examples listed above are really not realistic. i've never not once lost my phone, broken my phone, or had my phone die. i have a nice phone (iphone 14 pro) and also i'm pretty mature so i'm not really dropping my phone or letting the battery die. as long as you have a good phone, it's nice. newer iphones can take a ton of abuse anyway. i doubt i could kill it if i tried.
for the times i want to be extra careful, i can bring the stock-supplied tesla key card as backup. but really i just leave home with my iPhone and that's it. i think OP will be fine should he choose digital key. it's the modern way!

Yes I agree. As a “techie” and a guy who hates to carry anything except my phone, including my wallet, I would’ve found a way to faraday block my fob in a magnet otter box and hide it somewhere under my car (as a back up) and use my phone as my primary key. I’m kinda sad I don’t have it but obviously not that big a deal. My credit card key is pretty nice. Maybe if they ever go to the Apple Key I will be able to implement that but I doubt it 😔
Devils advocate. So someone steals your phone - they get your car - drive to your house (because it's on your navi) - open the garage - take what they want. Being lazy really is not safe, you need layers of protection.

Well hopefully you have your phone locked down with FaceID or the like. I hope you can't use this digital key from the lock screen of your phone. That would be bad.
