Audio Bass issues
Hello all,
I just took delivery of a 2023 LX600 Luxury with the Mark Levinson Surround system. Sounds great, but after about 5-10 seconds of decently high volume (~40 or higher) the bass drops out significantly. I've tried toggling on and off all audio settings. I've also tried CarPlay Spotify audio and the native FM radio, same result. Anyone having similar issues?
Thanks,
Riggs

Sound just quit on me altogether. Restarted the car, reconnected my phone, tried the radio, all sources…nothing. I was listening to it loud so I’m guessing it went even further to protect the speakers this time and now I have literally no sound coming from the speakers. Highly unsatisfied with a supposed “reference” sound system in a $110k luxury vehicle. For whomever may enjoy high quality sound and music at loud volumes, this is not your car.

Hey mate.
We have a 2023 LX600 and are having the same issue. We find this only happens when increasing amplifier settings. If you play a song to hard it can completely blow the speakers. The only way i fix this is turning the car conpletely off, waiting 5 seconds and then restarting which turns the sound back on.
I also notice the sound system losing bass over time of having it anywhere above 40 volume.
I have taken the car to Lexus of Dubbo in my country in Australia. They are noticing the issue through most of the LX range and RX range. However they need more people to report this issue.
They will be replacing my amplifier completely under warranty to see if it fixes the issue. If not they will be investigating it further.
The other thing i find annoying is the suber woofer in the back causes the hydraulic jack to come loose from its slot which makes it vibrate, its so annoying.
I also find the new infotainment to be bloody slow especially when changing songs.
I wish Lexus would hurry up an fix these issues.
James.

@rbrown409 do you solve problems with sound?
If you listen to it long enough at high volume the entire speaker system will also completely shut down (radio still works) until it cools down enough to restart the amp. Can take 20-30 minutes in my experience.
I’m honestly considering taking it to a shop to have the entire sound system replaced with aftermarket amps speakers and subs, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Anyone else with input on the above, the issues, or aftermarket system, would be greatly appreciated.
This is the review of ML soundsystem on 2022+ LX600:
This is the review of ML soundsystem on 2021 LX570:
LX570 received S tier rating while LX600 only recieved A tier. So there maybe nothing wrong with your soundsystem, just simply a downgrade by Lexus. You known, cheapout on the flagship SUV.

Our 2025 LX 600 ML has no issues (so far). A lot depends on one's taste of music and how the music is delivered (streaming provider etc.). That said I have set my controls similar to what our LC is, specifically turning off the surround sound (set to 2D, TMB set to max then adjusted down to taste, then setting balance).
