Well, My wife could care less if her new LX has a V8, V6TT or a band of rats in a spinning wheel under the hood, so against my better judgment, I decided to let her trade our pristine 2013 LX with only 79k miles for her new F Sport LX. Time will tell... I trust Lexus quality so I am sure it will be a wonderful addition to our fleet.
Congrats! Mind posting occasionally updates about the experience, including the drive, updates safety features and general maneuverability of the vehicle?
My parents have a '15 that they were going to keep forever, and while I see no reason to swap things up, both they and I feel that the safety features like blind spot monitoring, collision warnings, LKA, etc would be helpful. My biggest hesitations were spending unnecessary money and the TTV6, but enough years have gone by that I'm less worried about the V6 now.
Family has had Toyota/Lexus vehicles for a few decades now. Doing my math we're on our 11th vehicle, and we're not the type to swap up every few years.
Haven't driven the latest GX yet, but will put that out there for them too.

I'm not sure how old your parents are or what's their patient level on things that beeps all the time. I had a GX460 then Rx500h and now a LX700h. Safety sense 3.0 is so good in long drives and stop and go traffic but you'll get constant beeps. Front cross traffic, BSM alerts driver alerts. I got use to it but a lot of people complain about it.

Great points. I think my 24 LC is SS 2.5 or something, and my GX is a generation older.
While I like the idea behind warnings, I do feel that too many of them can result in people just ignoring them. Ill keep an eye and ear out for it when we test drive.
Well, I am a 30 year plus Toyota fan. Only drive Toyotas and have a fleet of restored Land Cruisers to prove it. This new LX600 is very very very nice. I love it. It would be fantastic with a new V8 but that seems to be my only gripe. I miss the pure mass of our LX570. I planned to keep it at least another year. My wife got that look in her eye when I took delivery of my new LC last Feb and I knew I just better order a new LX for her. As I said, She could care less about the motor. I will say I hate the sound the V6 makes and it seems a little buzzy. Almost like the first time you drive a new RX with the 4 banger. It is fine but you just know that something is just not a smooth as before, I have complete confidence in the 24 V6 and Toyota's commitment to it. I do religious dealer maintenance so I am sure everything will be fine. The V6TT is just not as smooth as that 5.7 V8. Other than noticing that when driving it, I am extremely impressed with the build quality. It is just so well screwed together. Every part of this thing's fit and finish is above and beyond my 570. If it has a little V8 I would be in heaven with it. If money is not a factor then let your folks buy the 600 or even 700. I plan to keep ours for 10 years so I opted for the non hybrid 24. Most of the new 25 build seems to be hybrid now, so that may be your only option right now. Good luck with helping your folks. Have them drive a new one to make sure they dont miss the V8.
I have seen a few 2025 600s on the boards etc. I had a 700ot on order and didn’t take it for a few reasons. I probably would have a hard time with the 18 gallon gas tank.
Maybe I got a good one, but I think the V6 sounds great. I think the 5.7 was kinda mundane sounding for a V8, frankly I like the V6 better.
Its also better than Ford’s 3.5 ecoboost, those sound dinky; their 2.7 sounds decently good though.
I actually really like the 3.4TT sound in these. And yes it runs rougher compared to the 5.7, the TT V6 can be temperamental so get good gas.

I feel like we've had a similar journey. Our first Toyota was the 94 4Runner, and since then they've owned the '00, '09, and '15 LX. TBH my favourite of the bunch was the '00. My mom isn't too picky, but does like being up high. My dad can be more picky, so I'm not sure if the V6 will bother him. He's always had a MB E-Class, and he loves the LX. Also a fan of my LC and my '22 GX. But hasn't liked a single Lexus loaner he's gotten (UX, NX, and RX typically). And he didn't like the short-lived Macan S I had nudged my mom to get. They're down to one car in the family and I feel like the new LX is the way to go. I'll have him try the latest GX as well.
Fortunately the finances aren't an issue, but he's conscious of value. We're having trouble finding a used'/demo LX600 to drive, and I'll make sure he drives one before he buys. The LX700 would be out of the question, just because the benefits aren't there for my parents use case.
The good news about all of this is I know my dad is going to brag about how his 10 year old LX570 that he bought for $80K was able to be traded in for $50K (all Canadian). I can already see him telling all his friends
