Hi just wanted to get some feedback on a purchase that I am thinking about making. I am currently looking at 2 used 2021 LX 570's. One with 25,000 miles, ultraviolet blue with red interior. The other is also Blue with white interior and 13,500 miles, both loaded 3 row models. The one with 25,000 miles is listing for $ 77,800 and the one with 13,500 miles is listing for $ 83,300.00. Both L certified and both are very clean. I researched the LX 600 and although I like the engine and transmission and the upgrade on technology There are some things about the LX 600 that I do not like. For example I do not like the interior of The LX 600 better and I do not like the rear end better. In my honest opinion I can not see paying $ 50,000.00 more with the dealer markup for a Lx 600. I just can not see it and these used prices are almost inline with where a used LX 570 would have been pre covid.
Agree with your comments on the 600 esp the profile of the rear end. The refresh was not enough for me to want to trade out of my LX, it looks so similar but there were some exterior design elements I didn't care for. I really like my LX, bought new and now have 54k trouble free miles.
I'd work on the dealer over the 13k mi example, it's a buyer's market now.
A very happy owner of a 2021 LX570. Bought it last May with 17k miles on it. I'm up to 22k now and couldn't be happier. I traded a 2021 GX460 for it and the LX ride quality is on a different level. Here in Dallas area these sell for crazy money...our largest Lexus dealer here (Sewell) doesn't have any in stock and last time I checked, LX similar to those you're looking at were still offered in the mid $90s.
There is absolutely no reason to pay $50k more for the LX600...yes its fuel economy is better compared to 570 but you'll never break even on the price difference and I also agree with you on the interior and the rear end. LX600 doesn't even have a bumper! Any rear-end collision and you will have the replace the entire rear hatch. I have the red (Cabernet) interior and I love it. It's so much classier than the red interior in the LX600 F-sport. Just wished the headliner was black instead of light gray. After owning LX570 for over 8 months, there are only very few things that I wish could have been different: fuel economy and relatively low cruising range (hey I knew what I was getting myself into, so this I will live with, but a few mpg better would have bumped the tank to 400 miles range), steering on the heavy side (perfectly fine for highway cruising, but might get tiresome during low speeds) and that's it!
If you're fine with getting 11-12mpg in the city (it does get 16-18mpg on the highway) then there is really nothing else you would wish for once you get the LX570.
I bought a 2019 last August for $75k, two row…the market has shifted! I am very very pleased with my truck! I originally was wait-listed for a 2022 GX460. The LX popped up at the dealer, and it drives on another level. The GX is very nice, the LX, especially for road trips is, in my opinion, fantastic.
I have sat in, but not driven the LX600. If you want more tech, and really don’t mind paying way more, it’s a fine truck. It is not, however, my cup of tea. I have no regrets on my purchase. Plus, I really like the split tailgate design. It’s an iconic look. It’s the best built, best riding vehicle I have ever owned. Now if I can only convince the Mrs. to trade her Merc for another LX570….hmmm a matching set! Good luck with your research.
the big difference is the gas mileage.
if you plan on road tripping all over the country, the 15 mpg of the LX is going to be a factor.
also, if you have any intentions of off roading, you should also look at the toyota land cruiser. there are a lot more aftermarket offroad things for the land cruiser
I have a 2021 purchased last January. As other posters have said, gas mileage and the heavy steering are different from the new model. Also, the tech is very old, my previous 2017 Escalade had more modern tech than the 2021 LX. I am happy to give up sometimes buggy tech for the fit and finish of the Lexus, it is miles ahead of any American SUV. Another big factor to me is the big naturally aspirated V8 engine. 2021 was the last of the LX V8. This engine when properly maintained will last longer than any engine with turbos. Bought with 13,000 miles and now have 28,000, extremely happy with the purchase. I plan to keep this vehicle for at least 8 years, so reliability is a big factor to me.
I have a '21 that I purchased about a year and half ago. I actually waited until the 2022 was announced and when I saw the engine, I quickly searched the country for a new 2021 2-row and flew to New York to pick it up.
The engine alone was the deciding factor, not because they got rid of the V8 but because it was a first year engine. I'm sure that the engine is fine and has the typical lexus reliability, this was more for my nitpicky brain ha.
Also one huge thing to consider, is that the '21 may be more desirable in 10 years than a 22' and above, simply because the enthusiast market for these trucks probably prefer the V8.
I have a 21 2 row bought 2 yrs ago for my wife and every time I drive it I'm amazed at what a nice ride it is. I bought it because of the engine, we usually keep her car for 10yrs, maybe putting 40-60k miles on it.
As previously mentioned, u just have to get past the city mpg and the god awfull tech and mouse pad scroller for the music and misc. Compared to my D5 S8 it's like going back to 2010.
I use my LX570 to tow a horse trailer, and sometimes an equipment trailer with a lighter than rated load. It does great for me at 300 feet above sea level with the ancient 5.L V8. Despite the HP and torque ratings of the LX600 engine, I sure would like to see some towing reviews before I consider trading.
I hope that the crew at YouTube’s TFL will get their hands on one soon.
just came across a web site that said the LX600 could tow a gooseneck. Maybe there is already a pickup conversion out there.
I have not been here in a long time. Life "got in the way". Anyhow, I have come across 3 2021 LX 570 3row.1 F-Sport (the one I am leaning on) 7K miles.
2 regular versions 13K miles and 26K miles All between 79-90K. All three are not at Lexus dealers. CaxMax already offered me $24K for my 2013 F150, which I will trade into any of these dealers that come close. I should have bought the LX 570 before Covid, but here we are... One dealer did offer to order me an LX 600 at MSRP, but I am really not a 1st year/2nd year new model person. I typically wait until model year 3. Anything I should be concerned with? I do not care about fuel economy. We currently have a Sequoia 4x4, an Armada 4x4, F150, and I have a 2023 Ram TRX coming. I work in Oil and Gas. My wife had her eye on a Yukon Denali XL, but too many part shortage issues, plus concerns about long-term reliability there...I need to make sure she has the most reliable vehicle...
i totally agree about the range. they should have come with a 32 gallon gas tank as standard. there are some trips i am looking at, where i might have to bring four jerry cans of gas along
that was quick. the F-Sport sold today...I think I'll sit and wait for another F-Sport to show up.

I have a 21 2 row bought 2 yrs ago for my wife and every time I drive it I'm amazed at what a nice ride it is..
we tried the big BMW, Big Ford, and the big Mercedes SUVs. they all handled the road poorly. the BMW X7 especially was bad, my wife got sea sick from it swerving/rocking after only five miles on the highway, and this was with the suspension selected to the stiffest setting. But they all had some sway to them. Its as if they wanted them to handle like a ship at sea, or something.
I can see someone wanting a very plush ride. but WHY design it to not ALSO have a "stiff as a train on rails" suspension setting that you can select, where the sway bars locked in for maximum stiffness???
Two years later, and i am STILL very happy with how the LX rides on the highway.
I traded my 2014 GX for a 2017 LX, and the only complaint I have is I lost the Inform cell phone connectivity when the 3G network shut down. Bothers me. I took a wash on the price, paying $75k in 2021 for a twice certified variant, but it had ALL the options (except for the wireless charger which I added and now never use) including the glass breakage sensor and paint protection film which was removed so the bumper was pristine. I PPF'd the whole front with XPEL so it never had any rock chip damage. I replaced the wood trim on the dash since the previous owners let it fade in the sun, I really do wish I didn't get the open pore walnut trim, the glossy ones seem to hold up better and look more consistent.
I added aftermarket CarPlay and android auto and I'll tell you that really made the difference tech-wise.
I want to like the LX600 but it's smaller in every way inside, and I do think the lack of the tailgate is a downgrade.
I think the LX600 might be a better buy if it gets the hybrid power train for some more lower end torque in the future, for the folks talking about gas mileage.
There's my two Tahara plant vehicles when the spouse and I met up at the gym. I am stupidly thinking about getting that TRD grille so they both have the black fronts.
