Default 2011 LX570 no audio

Complete Newbie to this forum…Hello everyone. My daughter has just purchased my brother’s 2011 LX570. It has the Mark Levinson amplifier. I have read quite a few threads regarding the amplifier being bad, and no sound whatsoever coming from the radio. This is partially true in this case. Yesterday, when I pushed the power button, the radio did come on. It would play AM, FM, or Bluetooth from my phone, but it did sound weak over bluetooth, and the radio portion sounded like the antenna was bad. There was quite a bit of static with the radio, and neither the radio or bluetooth would get very loud. My brother had given up on the radio when he could get no sound from it. So yesterday’s poor sound was still quite exciting. And so today I can get no sound from the radio, bluetooth, etc. I can see the volume numbers increasing/decreasing on the display screen, but no sound….until….

I put a DVD into the player and the sound was perfect! The DVD sound was very clean and increased/decreased perfectly.

Any ideas? I would love to fix this for my daughter before she leaves after Christmas break. She mostly listens to podcasts and music over her phone.

Thank you in advance, and I promise to follow up on this forum if we get this solved.

There is a ecu under the passenger seat, sounds like it is the culprit. Give oem auto audio inc a call they should be able to help you. (315) 430-8087. They are based in NY the owner is super knowledgeable and can answer all your questions.

Amplifier and head unit are on their way to OEM Auto Audio. I'll update once returned.

hard to believe, but my sharkfin antenna on a 2017 died. only the satellite radio part.

they tried stuff, including a software update that fixed it for a day. but ultimately the antenna completely failed.

so if you get it back and the radios are still not working....consider that

Short Story:
A big “thank you” to OEM Auto Audio Inc. Joe did a great job!

Longer Story:
I sent both my amplifier and head unit to OEM Auto Audio via UPS Next Day. OEM Auto Audio emailed a shipping label, which made that part easier and saved me money. The amplifier was at fault, and was repaired within a few hours of being received. However, UPS’s holiday shipping enthusiasm was a bit too much, and they damaged the radio head unit on its way home. And so I sent the radio head unit back again, via UPS Next Day. And again, OEM Auto Audio Inc came through and repaired the head unit within hours of receipt. Now my daughter has a working radio in her “new to her” LX570. She’s excited, I’m thankful, and really appreciative of the fine service of OEM Auto Audio Inc.

Joe’s communication was excellent. Service was excellent. I hope others will utilize and support this fine company!

I highly recommend!
