Hello,

If and/or when you are looking to replace the entire AHC system with a regular suspension setup I would be willing to take the old components off of your hands for a price. Just let me know what works best for you!

Thanks,

Brandon

It's very rare that AHC repairs are that involved. Most times it is the globes/accumulators that need to be replaced and very rarely I have seen a shock or other component needing replacing. But 9 times out of then when its time to service the AhC it is new globes and fluid flush. You can DIY it at home without a lift. It's very simple and a good learning experience.

I had my AHC system spring a leak the other day. Made a mess in my driveway... I called the dealer for a replacement line and I was told that they would need to see the car to determine the part. I have a friend with a lift so we were able to see it. The line starts near the accumulator and makes a 90 degree turn near the drivers rear side and then it looks like it has a compression fitting. I did not take a picture of the leak location as I thought the dealer would be able to sell me a part based on the picture I have. This picture was taken under the car looking aft the passenger rear wheel well is on my left. The line looks to be some sort of 1/4 inch line and the leak is at or after the 90 degree turn on the driver's rear (on my right in the picture).

I am wondering if I could use any other type of line or if I need to try and deal with the dealer more... Is this the line that usually fails for rust that jat0223 mentioned? Any help advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am guessing The part is 48998-60010. Order it from partsouq or any Toyota dealer or Lexus. Shop around

I get parts for our LX and LC from partsouq.com. Prices are normally well below US dealer prices or Toyota dealers on line.

Hard to tell from the photo. But that seems like it could be the correct part.

Megazip.net is another source for parts.

I know I'm late to answer but that's the line that most commonly fails.
