LX is awesome, except it always felt like it was underpowered, working too hard and too much noise under the hood. So I purchased and had my Lexus dealer install a Harrop supercharger in my 2019 LX. Result: FANTASTIC! My LX now super quiet, with loads of smooth power and feels effortless in any driving condition. My dealer was very surprised at the difference in power, how quiet the LX is now, as well as the quality of the Harrop kit which included everything the install required. I’m guessing the HP is now around 550ish, prob 420ish at the hubs. I highly recommend this upgrade if any of you have the same impressions of the stock LX.

Sounds great, I have been thinking same plan (but too scared to pull the trigger!). Please give updates to reliability or any other issues.

I am looking at the Magnuson supercharger (same one they put on the factory LX's a while back)... treperformance.com has them, or you can go straight to the Magnuson site. About $6700 for the kit... if you are a gearhead you can do it yourself (I used to do 6-71's on big block Chevys), but I would imagine a good shop would do it for about $3K.
Please let us know how your reliability and any issues you encountered... Of course the factory warranty is void.

Just looked at the harrop... that looks like a good choice.

No way to tell if it's a trolling post or not.

PLENTY of folks here with less than 10 posts...it's definitely not ih8mud.com.

^^ I'll leave it up, but there is some misinformation there. I've owned a blown '16 Tundra since new. As far as I know it's the only one w/ TRD blower running the factory TRD software. Toyota
stopped selling & supporting the supercharger in 2015. Yes I took a brand new truck & voided the warranty. The Toyota software is flash / download w/ their scan tool only. The uni-chip was
non Toyota authorized patch some people/ dealers were running on flex fuel engines to avoid leaning out @ WOT, but it also has its issues. Toyota never really got the flex fuel software fully
developed / reliable. The install is straight forward, it's the software that's the issue. If a company had a GOOD RELIABLE tune I'd have one on the LX. Right now I'm not sold on any tune.

I paid about $7800 for the Harrop supercharger kit and Northtown Lexus charged $1800 to install. It’s significant re cost, but for me it is worth every penny.

I thought Dealership will not put aftermarket parts for clients.

That would depend on the dealer. The closest to me has a showroom with a couple of trucks loaded to the gills with aftermarket stuff, as well as an aftermarket parts display.

I’ve done business with Northtown Lexus and the service manager for 28 years so Greg was happy to take on the project after he saw the product literature and talked to Harrop in Dayton OH who were great to deal with. It took me 8 mos to make the investment decision. The LX just felt underpowered and I needed to address that condition. Now I am I am 10 out of 10 on this Supercharger and love driving this LX. As I said previously, it’s super quiet, and has effortless power that it never had before. It does require 93 octane or an octane booster if 93 isn’t available. BTW, The dealer asked me to leave my LX for three extra days after install for other LX owners who wanted to see and drive it. There were buyers as a result.
