Having lived in WV for a while (lots of deer!) and now in TX for 5 years (lots of hail storms) I've kept my comprehensive deductible to $0....comprehensive covers vandalism, theft, deer hits, acts of nature and while it costs *a little* more on my premiums, I know i've financially ended up ahead with the deductible payments.

That said, had a rock chip on Valentine's day on my wife's 16 LX570 - Safelite came out and guy also said he had never worked on a LX before and the calibration/installation on a lot of the newer vehicles with safety functions (radar cruise, heads up display, double pane etc) is adding complexity to their jobs...

 

Why did you not find an installer with experience on the 200 series??? I had a similar response from Satellite when an installer showed up to do the LX windshield and it was his first time.

I said thanks and goodbye, called a couple of dealers on the high end here, and they all recommended a guy who turns out to live 5 miles away from my place.
