Default 2018 lx 570

I am currently looking at lightly used 2018 LX 570. I was wondering from current LX 570 owners if the 2018 LX 570 comes with apple car play ? And if it does not I was wondering if there is another function on the LX that acts in the same way for receiving and sending text messages while driving ? And does the LX integrate with your phone thru SIRI ? I have a apple XS MAX I phone.

Next question is would I be better of waiting until the 2020 LX 570 is released next year or the following year as a 2021. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You.

If so, I haven't figured out how to do it yet.

no -the system is not very user-friendly, I know it can read back to you but I have never used it.

Thank you.

For some reason I thought you could send text messages and receive text messages in the LX thru Siri on your phone. Although not quite apple car play, it's pretty close.

Maybe I'm mistaken.

Yes. You can use Siri Eyes Free to read and dictate text messages on all 2015+ LXs when an iPhone is paired.

I recommend getting a vent mount for your phone, the capabilities of a smartphone are far beyond the infotainment of any Lexus.

When you say " vent mount" do mean a holder that mounts to dash for phone ?

As much as I would like to get into the LX 570 I have a feeling I will be giving up a lot of technology and paying more when I trade in my ford raptor. Don't get me wrong, I love the LX 570, but the raptor is full of technology and ford has done a excellent job with the my sync 3 infotainment. Dare say I would put the sync 3 up against any car manufacturers infotainment system right now.

Yes, something like this.

Toyota products are generally boring. I buy them for the reliability and resale value. (Raptor has great resale too).

Yes you can send and receive texts with Siri and the handsfree. And as an added bonus you can get Siri to swear or say anything you want because ”she” repeats back everything you say.

being able to utilize Siri would you say it is close to having apple car play, and what are you giving up with the lx infotainment system by not having apple car play.

Use Lexus Enform App Suite (not LEAS 2.0) with the LX to provide the connection between your
phone and the Lexus Navigation System. Set up an itinerary prior to driving and transfer it, use
the voice recognition and current destination data of the phone to enter while driving. Unlike the
newly reduced cast Enform family of connected features, App Suite is free.

Texts on screen only need to be enabled, iPhones just open Settings/Bluetooth/Lexus LX and
on the far right side, tap the blue "i" and Enable Notifications. On screen Read/Ignore/Call.

Thank you.

So basically it is very similar to having apple car play, except that the I phone Icons are NOT visible on the infotainment screen in the LX.

And can you tell the navigation system in the LX the destination address thru voice command ? I know you can in the GSF.

Thank you. Excellent Info. Impressive how Lexus leads the pack every year.
