I have auto policy from Liberty Mutual since I bought the truck 2016 and I also have had other personal policies with them for years. When I bought LX and I asked the insurance agent that I would like this truck to be under business name and he wrote it. I have been paying them ever since. Yesterday I had a minor back accident with my wife's Highlander and dented the front driver side and cracked the rear bumper on the passenger rear of LX. I filed claims and took the cars to have estimates and also talked to claims representative. She later found out that the policy was written wrongly and it should have been personal rather than business and refused to pay for the damages, but they still have been collecting my monies over the years.
What are my options:
1. File a small claim against Liberty Mutual and insurance agent who sold me the policy. I am not sure if he works for Liberty Mutual or Insurance broker and I have emailed him about this.
2. Might be too expensive to hire the attorney to collect around $4000 for both ( will get nothing back).
3. Since my wife's car has different policy, but same Liberty Mutual. Should I file her claims under her policy, even though the car was not at fault,
I requested them to send me a formal letter of denial for further actions. What would happen if I got into serious accident that involved body injury? I buy insurance policy to get a peace of mind, not to get another headache.
I could be wrong, but I thought the only way insure a car/truck under business name, the car.truck has to be titled under business. However, you could have a separate business insurance policy that cover certain usage of personal cars (or something in that natural).
I dont know about the other insurance companies insured? But i have state farm insurance and two of my GX and LX insured under my business name and my IS under my personal name, but they are all cover under my personal policy, and when i had i rock crack my LX windshield, they worte me a check for the OEM glass replacement maybe your insurance tried to get away from paying you,
