Default Lexus LX body kit from TRD

It's been a while since the LX was refreshed, but if you're really looking for something different this kit from TRD might be the ticket. There are more pics on the HP. What do you think?

Posting this made me realize I never see these on the street, even in a town with plenty of massive SUVs. They have to make up a pretty small percentage of sales...

I'm kinda diggin it, but would only really consider these items if I was forced to replace the stock pieces where the cost would be negligible.

Seriously, why doesn't anyone make a "body kit" that improves off-road performance over stock instead of further diminishing it?

Lexus is trying to sell as much LX's as they can before they release new one a the end of 2019 as a 2020 model.

I'm surprised that there's enough demand to develop ANY sort of body kit given the extremely low vehicle sales numbers for the LX. I'd have to think that the vast majority of $90k+ LX buyers have absolutely zero interest in taking their vehicle off-road. A Jeep Wrangler is probably the highest price point where you'll find significant aftermarket support for off-roaders.

Highest price point, except for the Land Cruiser.
For the LX, sales numbers are around 4,000 a year for the U.S., but closer to 18,000 a year in the Mideast region.
Higher clearance front and rear bumpers built for the Land Cruiser and usable on the LX are available from ARB, TJM, and Dobinsons. They are heavy steel bumpers (TJM also makes an alloy version).

From what I see from the pics posted, I'm not sure how the TRD or any other body kit helps performance off-road.

There is more aftermarket support for Jeeps...obviously as they're 1/3 the price of a 200 series. Your vantage point is somewhat limited as you're focusing only on the North American market. Bunches of LX are used off-road in other parts of the world...the Middle East for starters.

Check ih8mud.com and see a bunch of LX and Land Cruisers off-road.
