Default DVD remote!

Hey All!

I have lost my DVD remote. Does anyone has any idea as to whats the make of the DVD so I can try using a universal remote. Knowing the make and model of the DVD makes it much easier to calibrate the universal remote.

Also any possibility of using the system without the remote. I know I can open the screen using the front display but that's it?

Thanks in advance!

$40 or so on eBay. You do need the remote.

When I bought my LX570 at the dealership, the salesman couldn't find the DVD remote and wireless headphones. Turns one cannot play DVD unless there is the remote. I had to negotiate to have them order me a set of OEM headphones/remote as part of the sale. I believe, as Hankind said above, dealership got it off ebay. Pain in the ****, following with the dealership on this.

Having said this, any good ideas on where to put the remote (and headphones) so it doesn't get lost in the future?

Get to eBay and search for "2013 2014 2015 2016 Lexus RX350 RX450h LX570 GX460 LDVD Entertainment Remote" without the quotation marks. Price is ~ $150. Assuming you bought the vehicle new, it's an easy dealer fix and should be free.

You might also try posting in the actual RX section here...looks to me like the RX remote is different from the LX or Land Cruiser variety.

I believe the systems are from Panasonic. However, in car system may use an entirely difference set of IR code for remote, so most of universal remote for home entertainment system may not work. But you can always using universal remote to do a code search function to see if it works. I think the ebay offers better option as others said.
