Congrats! Please post some pictures here when it arrives.

What kind of deal did you end up getting on it, if you don't mind sharing?

The "deal" still has yet to be determined. I put $20k down to get the first unit I liked. Only two will be hitting Jacksonville next week, after that it will be early December till the next arrive. I will be holding my dealer's feet to the fire for my 2015 LX trade in with only 15k on the odo but I am not in the best position to bargain.

I will be glad to have it and there is no doubt there will be some images.

Thanks for the reply.

Awesome color combo! We need lots of pics and to know whether it's worth the 97k price for admission 😀

dealers are not going below MSRP for a 2016 LX.
but please do post pics here.

you guys are very lucky to have the 570 for $97k USD.

here is a screen shot of our local Lexus in New Zealand for the LX570

Note 1 NZD = 0.67 USD

hence $179,000 NZD is $120,000 USD....

I very much doubt dealers won't deal on the 2016 LX. The fact of the matter is that there are very few people out there that appreciate these vehicles for what they are and are willing to spend $90-100k on them. The vast majority of people who are looking for luxury SUV and have this type of budget will go with the Range Rover or the Mercedes GL. Before someone jumps down my throat and says that the LX is a real truck and the GL is a car based crossover...I do understand that, but most people really don't care.

Greg...you are always in the position to negotiate, you can always get a car from a dealer in another city, I know Lexus of Orlando had a reputation for dealing when I used to live in Florida 5 years ago.

Very excited for you (like a kid in a playground, actually)! Do show photos and congratulations! You are an LX man through and through (#4, correct?).

That's what most dealers will likely try, for sure, but I doubt it will last (it was the same in '08 and in '12 with the '13 model). I also don't know if Lexus will choke supply on these like they did at the beginning of the run (and also in '10 when we got ours), but in the end, if anyone stands a chance to score a break (however small), it would be a customer like Greg.

Not sure if it worth that much to everyone but it is to me. I have owned a few and this one holds the excitement of picking up my first in 2008. It is going to be a different beast for sure but still have familiarity at the same time as while much has change, much has not. The new electronics including blind side monitor will be a welcome feature for sure. The front end will take some getting used too.

My dealer said there was little play in the list price but could help with my trade in. I do not expect to come out ahead here. Vehicles are a bad habit that I can not shake and am lucky to be able to afford.

I believe this is number five. Kinda funny as my first, the 2008 as Nebula Grey and now back to the same color. Last three have been black so the change is welcome.

Congrats! Great choice. They never had nebula gray back in 08 though, only from 13 onwards. The grey was different on the 08-11 ( Twilight Gray Metallic )

Yep you are right. Went back and looked at the paperwork. The Twilight Grey Metallic looked different depending on the light is was seen under. It was a great color.

Hope Nebula Gray Pearl looks good. Needed a change as my last three where obsidian. Loved obsidian but it did not seem to have a clear coat over it and was damaged very easy.

That's right - there was a '13 in the mix too, no?

For what it's worth, LX and GX are the only Lexus vehicles to retain Black Onyx (code 202) as the choice of black. All others switched to Obsidian (212) a long time ago. At one time, I had one of each parked side by side, and telling the difference was not trivial.

At one point, over 10 years ago, black onyx had no clear coat, and obsidian did. That changed, and even though many Lexus dealerships still say that Lexus black has no clear coat, that is not the case. The LX most definitely has a clear coat. It does get damaged easily, even if you just look at it the wrong way :egads: Major pain to keep up!

Nebula is beautiful; I think you'll be happy.:thumbup:
