Default Harness Connection between 2009 and 2013 headlights

hoping someone can help me out with getting my new lights to work. I have a 2009 and doing the facelift to 2013. I thought the only issue I would run into was the AFS. Based on what I've read in this forum and others, it appeared that the low, high, DRL was plug and play.

The existing setup has 3 plugs and the 2013 headlight appears to only have 2. I have the the big and medium matching up. The small one I believe is the AFS. The problem is the existing medium is the turn signal/ Parking light and the matching plug is the ballast for the low beam.

Can anyone help me or suggestions to maybe be able to? I swapped all the hardware parts to fit the new bumper and grill and don't want to have to undo everything. I also don't want the truck to sit in the garage for weeks while I figure this out. Thanks!

Issue resolved. I bought the lights used off of ebay and didn't realized that i needed to but the wiring harness for the turn signal and low beam.

Printed out the electrical drawings from the TIS and moved all the pins around to match up to the 2013 schema and got everything working but ran into an issue because of the fact that the DRL relays are different. After spending a couple weekends on this, i hired a pro auto electrician who figured it out in 30 minutes. All works great now!

Advice for other wishing to do this mod, just pay someone to do it. If you have the funds to buy into this little adventure, save yourself the trouble and leave it to a pro.

Finished the rear facelift today and will be sending it to paint on monday.

Just wondering how the economics workout on this facelift?

Post headlight scheme?

I ended up just unplugging the AFS fuse out of the passenger fuse box.
can you please specify what harness are you talking about? because i'm running the same issue and i would like to retain my AFS. can you post a picture of the 2013 headlight wiring scheme? and any other information that i would need?

Thanks!

I figured it all out. The large plug (A40/46) fits but you need to move several pins around to make the AFS and DRLs to work. You will need to order 90980-10942 (A51/52) as that will now have your turn signals and low beams. The existing AFS connector (A42/48) are no longer used. A41/47 are also no longer used as they are replaced with the low beam ballast. Those pins will move to the new A51/52.

I keep hearing people say its plug and play but i think that only applies to LXs outside of the US. I got everything done myself except I got stuck with the high beams as I only got one side to work correctly. I hired a pro to come in and finish it. I also had him wire up my side mirrors with the LED signal lights.

It was fun to do, but if i had to do it all over again, I'd just handover the wiring diagrams and let a PRO do it.
