I´ve a problem with the side mirrors after my friends LX570 had been standing for a long time on sale and battery was completely drained. Battery was charged, car started and everything seems to work properly except the mirror housing is loose and doesn´t operate or fold when car is locked.
Also the left mirror itself is always moving from time to time like it´s loosing its position.
Anyone have suggestions on this and also can such a complete drain of battery cause any other problems later on
I have the same issue regarding the left mirror always moving from time to time. It was taken to the local Toyota dealer who stated that it needed to be completely replaced. I seriously find that hard to believe as they are not cheap. Hopefully someone who has fixed or knows how will chime in.
I had a mirror changed under warranty on my 2013LX. It was twitching when I hit a bump and mentioned it at a service and they replaced the entire unit.
I believe there is a TSB about these twitchy mirrors. Both mine were fixed under warranty. To me, there was a safety issue, it distracted me while driving.
Thanks al for the adise. At this moment the mirrors are working except that the right side mirror doesn´t fold back when car is locked but the left one does. I can hear sound in the motor. This was working perfectly before the battery drained.
