On my last LX I had the Escort 9500ci installed before delivery and thought it was a great system! Very few false alarms which was always my complaint with the older systems. You would get so many false alarms that you would find yourself ignoring them and that could get you a ticket.
My 2013 LX will be going in for it's 5K service and I was going to get the same 9500ci system installed while in service. Just wanted to make sure there is not a better system out there that I do not know about?
Anyone find something better let me know as this is a over $3000 system.
I use the Escort/Passport Qi45 with Laser Shifter Pack. Have installed in my 09,11 and now my 13 LX. Not sure they even make this model anymore, but the best part is the Laser shifters. I fly right by the cop standing beside his motorcycle while using a laser gun, usually there's a funny look on his face because he is not reading my speed. My problem is that these shifters became illegal in Texas last September.

Yes had the Laser Shifter on the other LX and a police friend said he could not get the laser gun to lock on and give him any reading, if he tried to force it, it would either give a very low speed or over 250 mph! LOL!

What happens if you drive by an officer using a laser gun and they get a crazy reading? Will they hassle you since they're illegal?

I have never had them even look twice in my Florida, Georgia and Tenn. driving. They are looking for easy "fish" to catch. My police friend says they get crazy readings all the time and they just shoot the next car.

That's good to hear. I've only encountered one officer using laser in my area too in the past few years.

The 9500 is the way to go if your area has speed/stoplight cameras.
Has anyone blind mounted the radar detector of the rear view mirror and tapped into it for power? I am planning on doing this shortly. I have done this mod in my IS350.

These work great. You will need a voltage meter to hook the power up but once complete it makes a great looking package. The power tap wire plugs right in the back of the male power supply plug that powers your mirror.
