Here is an excerpt from the online 2010 LX570 manual. It shows how to use the touch screen to select an audio track from the track list. However, under that info it says that this function is available only while the vehicle is not moving.



This doesn't seem right. Can someone verify if this function really is available only while the vehicle isn't moving?

I have never noticed tbh, but you may want to take a ride and find that out yourself.

How about this, make the (Audio screen > Track List) active and then switch between tracks from the steering wheel remote control.

The text feature (CD Text) gets pretty buggy sometimes when displaying, once its appearing and lots of time not, I don't understand why.

 

Yes while the vehicle is moving the screen gets disabled. But still you can control tracks manually using “Tune File ****”, “CH DISK Up and Down” and “Seek Track up and down”

By the way! the screen doesn't get disabled when you use IPOD via USB

I would rather use the other methods of changing tracks than go thru what I see in the above. Besides, I can not find my crow bar!

 

correct, feature is disabled when car is moving, typical lexus lockout on most menus.

get the prestigious override, a lot of people have it. plug and play and enable all features
