Just got a 2010 Rx350. I was wondering is there a way to display audio and climate control info on the nav screen constantly? Currently it only shows up when I push the volume or channel up/down button. Id like to be able to see for example the info being displayed in regards to which radio station I'm listing to and even which song may be playing.

 

There is a setting burried in the menus somewhere to do that. It will stop the system from reverting back. However, if you want to show the Audio and Climate screens at the same time, you are out of luck.

 

I'd like to see the same info on the screen as well-I cannot understand why the Lexus would not program the system so that the same top portion of the screen that appears when you adjust volume or chanel, is there at all times to display station/disc/track info, even the temp. setting.
There certainly is enough space on the screen...

 

That would be nice, but it is not how it works. The best you can do is configure it so the system will stay on the screen you select (audio). Remember there is the MAP button to take you back to the map. This is the first car in my memory that does not display the interior temp settings continuously ... definitely a stupid decision on Lexus' part. If you want to see the temp, just raise or lower the temp using the buttons on the dash and it will temporarily display.

 

This is why you wait for the Gen 4 RX. It will have the bigger screen where you can have the map and what ever other function you want up at the same time. Who knows what else they will have come up with by then.
